The move was relatively easy, as the family traded a well-established life for a future fraught with business, education, entertainment, and resource uncertainties.
Tatiana has four children with her husband. Two sons of her husband from a previous marriage joined their family in Cyprus a few years ago.
Tatiana and her husband displayed remarkable resilience and determination despite the initial hurdles. Curious about Tatiana’s approach to organization and goal achievement, Our conversation started with the simple question:
- Do you consider your domestic life organized?
- I have a very organized life. All my daily routines are in order.
- What kinds of daily routines do you delegate, and what do you leave as your responsibility?
- I take responsibility for planning (menu, children’s schedules, communication with tutors, and partial transportation of children). I delegate cooking and cleaning and help children with tier homework.
Tatiana’s unique perspective on family management mirrors a strategic business approach, highlighting the effectiveness of viewing familial dynamics through a structured lens. She understands that without a solid macro-management system, the risk of delving into micromanagement looms significantly—a taxing endeavour, especially for individuals juggling multiple responsibilities and commitments.
By applying principles of efficient resource allocation, delegation, and oversight typically found in successful business models, Tatiana likely optimises her family’s operations. This approach not only streamlines decision-making processes but also fosters a sense of empowerment and autonomy among family members, reducing the need for excessive oversight and control.
Recognizing the parallels between effective business management and family dynamics enables Tatiana to maintain a healthy balance between involvement and delegation. This strategic mindset likely allows her to focus on overarching goals and long-term vision, steering clear of the energy-draining pitfalls of micromanagement that can hinder personal growth and overall family harmony.
- Do you find it enjoyable to complete your obligations?
- Not really, but it is essential to control these processes myself.
Tatiana is sincere, which is a key to her successful strategy in house management.
- Have you set up any specific storage systems in your home?
- Not remarkably, some areas can be improved.
- Have you experienced any organizational difficulties in your daily life?
- Sometimes, it is difficult to synchronize children’s schedules as we have many children. We rent a house, and optimizing the space according to our needs is difficult.
The common belief that achieving a functional and convenient living space in a rented house is unattainable is a misconception for many individuals. Contrary to this perception, organizing experts possess the skills and tools to transform any space, including rental properties, into a personalized oasis that aligns seamlessly with your family’s lifestyle.
These professionals excel at devising innovative solutions tailored to individual needs, optimizing layout efficiency, and maximizing storage capacity within the constraints of a rental property. By leveraging specialized tools, creative strategies, and practical life hacks, organizing experts can unlock the full potential of your living space, regardless of its temporary nature.
In essence, the notion that rented spaces are inherently limiting is dispelled by the ingenuity and resourcefulness of organizing experts. Through their guidance and expertise, any residence can be transformed into a harmonious and efficient environment that meets and exceeds your family’s expectations.
- Do your six children help out around the house?
- The children look after their rooms and yard, but most duties are delegated.
- Who is responsible for keeping your kids’ rooms tidy?
- My children and the domestic helper are responsible for tidying the rooms.
- Do your children have a dedicated place for work and study?
- Yes, all children have their study place.
- Are your children familiar with the study management process?
- My children can manage their studies; they are responsible for the results. If they fail to do their homework, it is their problem, not mine. I teach them to be independent and face the consequences of their actions.
- At what age should the kids start managing their daily routines independently?
- From the age of 6, children can start independently managing and planning their daily routines.
- Have you heard about the term “executive functional skills”?
- No, I don’t have an idea what it is.
And after explaining, I asked her again:
- So, do you take time to develop these skills with children?
- Possibly, I do it intuitively, but I am not aware of this term.
- In your opinion, does your success depend on discipline and executing the tasks you have set forth?
- It is essential to have discipline to achieve your goals.
- What do you know about ADHD?
- I have heard this term quite often recently. It might be related to me more than to my children.
It wasn’t that long ago that attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) was attached as a diagnosis only to children. Along with a better understanding of this neurological condition came an expansion of the patient pool. Mental health professionals now recognize ADHD as potentially affecting people of any age.
There are, however, differences in the way that ADHD manifests in adults and children. Regardless of age, diagnosis can be tricky since virtually everyone displays behaviour that’s symptomatic of ADHD at one time or another. Typically, patients only receive treatment when symptoms become severe enough to disrupt more than one area of their lives. It could be home and school life for children or socially and at work for adults.
